These are the first pictures I took in Philly, a place that very quickly became one of my favorite cities. Philadelphians have a zest for life and their city, and they don’t really care if you share the same love for Philly. There is a certain current that runs throughout the city, drawing people out of homes and onto patios, parks, and restaurant terraces. If San Francisco is the brunch city, Philly is the happy hour city. Philadelphians yearn for community and humanity in every corner of life, especially sports. Parks act as the epicenter of connection, a crossroads where every walk of life can be seen. What a vibrant and electrifying place to live!

A great place to see a friend you have been missing and leave a night of dancing at the club to see the sun rise on the beach. For some reason Tate McRae was all anyone would play in July 2025. I haven’t heard her much since then.

This is a study on sunbeams on the street near our place in Tokyo. I haven’t had a chance to post in a while. It seems so crazy that I am starting my second year in med school. My last official summer break felt not long enough. One thing I’ve realized in med school is how much I enjoy being outdoors. How sad it is to spend so much time indoors flooded by artificial light studying… I’ve got my picnic blanket ready for some park studying very soon

Selected to be the cover art of the 2026 Jefferson humanities journal! What a pleasant surprise today. This picture was countless drives up and down Mt. Tam and months in the making until I had the perfect visibility and light

Today I went to a self compassion workshop with a doctor/professor that I admire. I really am not compassionate to myself. A quote stuck with me today: “Each time you judge yourself you break your own heart. You stop feeding on the love, which is the wellspring of your vitality. The time has come, your time to live, to celebrate… and to see the goodness that you are…” I would like to consciously practice radical self-acceptance this week! It’s going to be difficult seeing as I’m behind on schoolwork…

First year’s almost over… I’ve been told that the days are long but the years are short and I’m starting to feel it. Every passing year represents a smaller and smaller portion of my life. Each year makes up a smaller piece of me. It feels like my life is accelerating. I don’t remember the years moving this quickly.

Some liminal spaces that I felt drawn to. A lot of substance in seemingly nothingness. Pretty sick
